ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM
Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies (DICE) is an ambitious programme that supports the development of creative and social enterprises in the UK and five key emerging economies: Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, and South Africa. DICE seeks to support supports progress on the Sustainable Development Goals by addressing two critical issues which are rising unemployment, underemployment and poor-quality employment prospects for young people in emerging economies and the lack of inclusive economic development in emerging economies which can translate into instability, political disaffection and reduced economic growth.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
You will lead on the implementation of a sector programme in Indonesia, managing project resources and overseeing activities to ensure that project objectives are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest level of quality to ensure impact. You will support the Senior Programme Manager to deliver a successful, coherent programme portfolio by ensuring that programme knowledge and data is gathered, recorded and shared effectively.
WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
As the Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for the implementation of effective, innovative sector projects which support cultural relations according to agreed plans and schedules which include internal and external reporting, documenting evidence of quality and achievement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To be successful, you should have at three years of experience in project or programme management in the development field or government with the first degree from public policy, political or social science, public administration, development studies or in another relevant area. You should be able to demonstrate sound experience of financial reporting and budget management.
