Literature on Lockdown: #CultureConnectsUs

The British Council Literature team launches a new blog series called "Literature on Lockdown: #CultureConnectsUs", offering an overview of the literature scene during the pandemic.

The British Council Literature blog will offer you a path through the wealth of corona-content, presenting an overview of the different ways the literature community – in the UK and internationally – is continuing: how they are fostering relationships across borders; finding opportunities for readers, writers and publishers to stay connected; and figuring out new ways to keep the conversations going that good art always generates.

Our colleagues from the Theatre and Dance team have put together a list of some of the international theatre available that you can watch in English.

Covid-19 Music Resources

There is a huge amount happening online – lots of live streams of music shows, drop-in sessions for professional musicians, offers and funds to help music people in need.

Our colleagues from the Music team will curate useful things in the form of weekly picks of links to funding and support during the corona virus crisis, opportunities during lockdown, spaces for online creativity and chances to take part, connect with others and learn new skills. If you're straight up looking for entertainment, the team also recommends some of the quality online offers!
