Denny Rasyid Priyatna is a product designer known for his unique approach in blending local influences with modern technologies.
Having obtained a Master of Art in Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, Denny was inspired to enhance the value of Indonesian crafts by meshing materials such as wood waste, rattan, and bamboo with traditional production techniques in the vein of weaving and carving. In addition, he has developed services and platforms that sell the works of local craftspeople and SMEs and assist them in improving their creative and production processes, in an effort to explore the connections between creativity, culture, and community. Denny’s dedication to showcasing Indonesian design globally has resulted in prestigious international exhibitions in Paris, Milan, and Frankfurt, extensive international media coverage, being selected as one of the 50 emerging Asian designers in the Design in Asia book by Design Anthology Hong Kong as well as participation in British Council-backed programmes that celebrated local creativities and cultures.
