Catharina Widjaja has been Director at PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, the largest integrated tire manufacturing company in South East Asia, since 2004 with an asset of USD1 billion in 2013. She became Managing Director at Alun Alun Indonesia since 2007. Alun Alun Indonesia (www.alunalunindonesia.com) is an Indonesian retail concept which promotes Indonesian products and artisans, under the retail group of MAP.
Prior to joining the group, she worked for various multinational companies including HSBC Indonesia and Deutsche Bank Indonesia. The mother of three received a Master of Science degree in Control Engineering from the University of Bradford and Graduated in Mathematics and its Applications from Sheffield Polytechnic, and she holds an HND in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Studies from Leeds Polytechnic, UK. She also did her “O” levels and “A” levels in UK.
