Mark your calendar! For this year’s British Council Film Programme, we are proud to announce that we will participate in ARKIPEL- Grand Illusion : 3rd Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival, 19 – 29 August 2015! This festival is open for all students, film students, moving image and documentary film enthusiasts. As part of Arkipel’s main programme, British Council invites Benjamin Cook, Director of LUX, a UK-based international arts agency for the support and promotion of artists’ moving image practice. He will attend the festival’s press conference on Saturday 22 August 2015 at Goethehaus and host a public lecture on film distribution on Tuesday, 25 August 2015 at Aula Auditorium IKJ.
There will also be the LUX Moving Image film screening, where five selected British experimental films from the LUX collection will be screened during the festival, including the works of Ben Rivers, Kate Davis, Luke Fowler and Andrea Luka Zimmerman.
All events are for free and open for public but limited by seats, so make sure you come to experience the best of UK documentary films and moving images! Follow our twitter account and stay tuned for more updates.
