British Council Indonesia is inviting a group of 6 - 8 art producers, curators, artists, programmers, creative technologists, and makers from the UK to visit Indonesia and explore the fast-evolving field. We are also going to invite Indonesian counterparts to join the conversation. These UK organisations will visit three cities: Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and finally Bandung to share about their experiences and stories in the realm of digital arts. If you’re interested in digital, art, technology, science sectors and if you’re interested in broadening your networks and finding new connections within this area this is the event that you're looking for. These series of events will be opened with presentations from the seven representatives from UK organisations:  FACT LiverpoolNew Media ScotlandV&AInvisible FlockBlast TheoryAbandon Normal DevicesMaklab Glasgow. The presentations will then followed by a discussion with respective speakers. 

JAKARTA

When: 1 Maret 2016 (19:00 – End)

Where: Komunitas Salihara (Jl. Salihara No. 16, Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta)

YOGYAKARTA

When: 2 Maret 2016 (TBC)

Where: Langgeng Art Foundation ( Jl. Suryodiningratan 37, Yogyakarta)

Speakers:

The event in Bandung will be slightly different because the UK organisations will also share their stories on their mini-residency in the different part of Indonesia. During this event, the UK and Indonesia organisations will also showcase the prototype they make during earlier prototyping programme.
