For the very first time, The British Council Indonesia is going to send four key players in documentary film sector to Sheffield Doc/Fest. The British Council has a strong ongoing relationship with Sheffield Doc/Fest and has been supporting film industry delegates to attend the festival over many years.

Sheffield Doc/Fest will take place in Sheffield, United Kingdom, from 10 - 15 June 2016. Sheffield Doc/Fest is one of the world’s most important documentary forums. It is a film festival, industry forum and market place that offers delegates pitching sessions, discussion panels, and in-depth filmmaker masterclasses as well as a wealth of inspirational films and the opportunity to network with global industry counterparts to share knowledge and expertise.

International Delegations

Over the last four years, The British Council Film team has worked with the festival to bring over 100 international delegates; Doc/Fest welcomes participants from all around the world. Sheffield Doc/Fest offers opportunities for experienced, debut and student filmmakers, festival programmers, commissioners, funders, broadcasters, distributors and other buyers.

Our commitment to connecting documentary practitioners from Indonesia with their UK counterparts is going strong. We've pulled together a delegation to the festival that includes producers, festival programmers, and non-profit documentary film agency representatives. These delegates will obtain special festival passes including mentorship; the pass benefits include individually tailored mentoring before the Festival and help setting up meetings at Doc/Fest Marketplace Manager, where they could get access to meet decision makers and key players in the documentary sector from around the world.
