The British Council has published the Creative Hub Leader’s Toolkit in partnership with Hivos and Nesta after co-organising the Creative Hubs Academy programme in 2018–2020. The toolkit is made up of fifteen, interconnected practical tools to guide creative hubs in leading, connecting, and building their hub. It can be used by hubs of varying stages, whether emerging or established, to ponder over topics such as defining vision and mission, mapping stakeholders, to designing business models.
In April 2021, the British Council announced a grant opportunity for Indonesian creative hubs to ‘hack’ this toolkit. The term ‘hack’ here is defined as adapting and adjusting the original toolkit to suit the hubs’ local context and region, thus enhancing its relevance. There are three hubs that received the grant, namely Indeks, Pasuruan Youth Forum, and SIKU Ruang Terpadu.
