Following the Image Makers Masterclass, one day after the workshop for public, IFF designers and speakers gathered for the first day of the live collaboration project. Rebekah Roy, Darren Black and Sarah May split into three groups with three designers and their production teams. The first team consisted of Sapto Djojokartiko (Designer), Hakim Satriyo (Photographer), Narya Abhimata (Videographer), and Sarah May (Set Designer/Art Director). Second team consisted of Billy Tjong (Designer), Darren Black (Photographer), and Rima Mariana (Videographer). Finally, the last team consisted of Norma Moi (Designer), Rizky Jusuf (Videographer), Adiel Aziz (Producer), and Rebekah Roy (Fashion Stylist).

Each team discussed the concepts, ideas, and then had brainstorming sessions to look through references and presented their own portfolio of work, location scouting, etc. What made the collaboration interesting was that general public participants can observe the collaboration at work although they weren’t involved directly on the set.

On June 8, the three teams worked in groups for production of Fashion Film and Photography. Team Sapto went to TM Studio in Gatot Subroto, Team Billy made Car Free Day at Bundaran HI and Femina Building Setiabudi neighborhood as the location of photo shoot, and Team Norma went to Femina’s studio.

The next day, June 9, all teams edited and revised their projects in the morning. In the afternoon they presented the rough drafts and footages from the workshop. Each participant then provided peer reviews to the work and feedback from the overall project.

The final version of the films and photography will be exhibited at Jakarta Fashion Week from 1 – 7 November 2014 at Senayan City. Stay tuned for more information!
