Ricky earned his Master’s degree in Theory and Practice in Human Rights from the University of Essex. Ricky’s work focuses on ending the death penalty, reforming drug laws, and protecting the rights of Indonesia’s most vulnerable people. Ricky’s work improves lives and restores hope. Thousands of people globally have become aware of unfair trials experienced by prisoners on death row. In 2016 he delivered an emotional plea at the UN General Assembly, demanding that states abolish the death penalty.
Ricky says that studying at the University of Essex gave him an unparalleled opportunity to study and work under professors who are experts in their fields.
