Tahir earned a Master’s of Law from the University of Warwick. He now owns Jakarta International Law Office, a law firm based in Jakarta. He is also the Vice President of the Indonesian Bar Association. Additionally, Tahir was one of the members of the Presidential Advisor office to select Constitutional Court judges in 2008. Due to his experience, he was invited as a visiting professor to Gakushin University in Tokyo, Japan.
Tahir’s legal training from the University of Warwick proved essential when he worked on an international case in Singapore, where he defended an Indonesian worker in a murder case. This case was a landmark case on Indonesian workers abroad.
