Last week during Fashion Revolution Week (24 - 30 April 2017), we celebrated the global fashion movement by collaborating with designer Wilsen Willim, Fashion Revolution Indonesia, and Indoestri MakerSpace to held an Open Studio where fashion enthusiasts can learn to sew their own clothes with guidance from Wilsen. The young and talented designer, Wilsen Willim, was approached directly by Tamsin Blanchard, TANK Magazine's Fashion Director, who also serves as the curator and initiator of Fashion Revolution Open Studio initiatives.

"Open Studios is an opportunity to shine a light on a group of emerging designers – and some established trailblazers – who are finding alternative ways of producing fashion that is mindful of the planet and its resources." - Tamsin Blanchard.

To Wilsen, a good design is a memorable design with a personal connection to its' consumer. Wilsen always tried to relate his story to his consumer. His signature white shirt design was inspired by school uniform which he wore daily when he was still in school. He then added fun details such as origami to symbolize the excitement of childhood life.
