One of the British Council’s arts priorities is to lead the way in supporting disability arts, as we place high importance on representing marginalised voices and their access to the arts.
In 2016, we started our work in disability arts in Indonesia. We commissioned Center for Disability Studies and Services (CDSS) Universitas Brawijaya to map the relationship between arts and the creative industries and disability.
The report provides detailed findings of the arts and disability landscape in Indonesia and identifies barriers that prevent disabled people to be represented within the arts sector.
You can download the report in Bahasa Indonesia below. The full report is also available in English language upon request.
