About the Workshop
In this workshop, Triarani and Nano from Jogja Disability Arts (JDA) in Yogyakarta will share insights and findings from their recent research project, PRISM.
This collaborative research, conducted in partnership with DaDa Fest UK, explores the key elements of meaningful disability arts collaborations. One of the primary tools used in the study is a modified body mapping technique, adapted specifically for the research context. This tool combines art and creative methods to create a space where participants can reflect on and redefine their experiences as disabled artists.
JDA invites workshop participants to embark on a mini journey through the research process by engaging in a body mapping activity. This session will focus on exploring participants' experiences of overcoming limitations and breaking barriers, inviting them to reflect on what these experiences mean to them. The workshop also aims to foster a deeper understanding and broaden participants' perspectives through the power of art.
This workshop is for you who loves doing art, to explore the visual art medium, or has interest in applying creative art approaches with the people you work with.
