We are presenting the award winning collection of documentary film work Notes on Blindness as part of Screen Docs in Jakarta - as well as at Festival Film Dokumenter in Yogyakarta and during our Digital Design Weekend.
Audiences are invited to dive in the works of Peter Middleton and James Spinney, following Professor John Hull’s journey in understanding his life-changing experience in becoming and being blind. Notes on Blindness is presented in a variety of formats; feature-length film, short documentary, and Virtual Reality experience.
“...this superb documentary by Peter Middleton and James Spinney dramatises the life-changing experiences of theology professor John Hull, ...Middleton and Spinney have created an utterly immersive feature worthy of Hull’s end-quote declaration that “to gain our full humanity, blind people and sighted people need to see each other”.
