Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi, a mobile-cinema cart, comes to Bandung to show a series of selected UK films from BAFTA.
In collaboration with Serrum Studio, Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi brings back the spirit of Indonesian traditional ‘Layar Tancap’, an outdoor cinema screening at celebratory parties and festivals. At the heart of Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi is the spirit of shared experience – a night fair and a place for social interaction as much as watching films.
The screening in Bandung is part of UK/ID Festival's opening event, alongside UK artist Robbie Thomson‘s performance XFRMR.
The showcase is followed by a two-day schools workshop where students make new films inspired by UK short films, and will also travel to Surabaya and Jakarta.
The screening is free. Schools workshop are limited to students of the participating schools only.
