Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi, a mobile-cinema cart, comes to Surabaya to show a series of selected UK films from BAFTA.
In collaboration with Serrum Studio, Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi brings back the spirit of Indonesian traditional ‘Layar Tancap’, an outdoor cinema screening at celebratory parties and festivals. At the heart of Gerobak Bioskop: Layar Inspirasi is the spirit of shared experience – a night fair and a place for social interaction as much as watching films.
Following screenings in Bandung and Jakarta, the showcase reaches its final destination in Surabaya.
The showcase is followed by a two-day schools workshop where students make new films inspired by UK short films.
